Devilman is the union of Amon, Lord of Battles, and Akira Fudo. Unlike other devil + man unions, Devilman retains the human's soul. Akira remains fully in control. Devilman has changed Akira's personality greatly. He is no longer timid but now quite aggressive. Miki is extremely pleased that Akira finally got a backbone. Little does she know that Akira is keeping a dark secret from her. Devilman is a force that fights against the demons in order to save mankind. He finds himself pitted against the hordes of demons under the control of Lord Zenon, but later he finds out that there is a greater force behind Zenon ... Satan. Devilman ends after a clash between Satan and Devilman in Armageddon. The epic story does not end there. Violence Jack takes place after the events in Devilman.
